Protecting our users’ privacy is of utmost importance at Evolution Health. Our Privacy Officer continually reviews our privacy policy and procedures, which are compliant with US, Canadian, European and Japanese national regulations. Our responsible data stewardship begins with only collecting the bare minimum of data that is required to deliver tailored feedback. All Evolution staff are trained on the appropriate handling of sensitive information. Users have access to our standard Privacy Policy on all sites, and Evolution works closely with client legal teams to ensure consistent policies and procedures on customized programs.

Evolution employs several levels of data security measures to protect our users’ and clients’ confidentiality. Evolution owns and controls its own infrastructure. We follow Industry best practices for network and server administration and design, including the provision of firewalls, setting of network and administrator passwords. Databases are not accessible via the Internet and all programs undergo regular vulnerability testing by third parties. Evolution’s dedicated team of IT professionals is able to accommodate those clients who require enhanced security, including data transmission over Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and data encryption in databases. Evolution’s network administrators perform daily incremental and regular full offsite backups.

Yes. In order to ensure the highest quality of programming, stability and security, Evolution employs a full time team of dedicated IT professionals. The team consists of database architects, programmers, HTML coders and network administrators. Our programs are based on Microsoft ASP.NET technology and SQL 2005 databases.

Evolution works with large, medium and small organizations in the US, Canada, England, Scotland, Brazil, Argentina and Japan. Our clients represent industries including pharmaceutical, government agencies, public health, insurance, employee assistance, biotech, and universities.

Evolution’s team of clinical advisors is responsible for creating evidence-based content for our programs. Our clinical advisors are experts in their fields and draw on their extensive experience with evidence-based health behavior change programs. All content is evidence-based meaning it is created from protocols that are proven effective in traditional offline settings, then validated again in its online setting. Evolution programs are continually re-assessed for effectiveness and usability.

Evolution works with a range of budgets. All programs are scalable and can be modified to suit any scope and budget. Typically there are two sets of fees. The first is a one-time customization and setup fee based on an hourly rate to modify and integrate the selected program(s). Once the program is live our clients pay an annual license fee based on lives covered and anticipated usage. Please contact us for an estimate on a range of options to suit your needs.

Evolution’s programs are built to be integrated with existing systems, including web-based programs, call centers, EHRs, PHRs, and traditional offline programs. Integration covers all aspects: front-end graphics, data collection and auxiliary text. Evolution’s systems can share data with secure mechanisms approved by most privacy policies such as web services or APIs, ensuring sensitive data is kept strictly confidential.

Evolution is strictly a business to business organization. We do not charge our end users to use our programs.

In order to offer the highest quality, most effective programs and tools, Evolution creates free beta programs for research purposes. Our team of clinical advisors analyzes the utilization and outcomes data for efficacy. Feedback and recommendations are combined with that from program users, Health Educators and usability experts. Once satisfied with outcomes, Evolution licenses customized versions to our clients and partners. The beta sites are not promoted for two important reasons. First, the data collected from the free programs is used in research and validation, so any advertising could influence the motivation of the users, rendering their data invalid. Second, Evolution does not wish to compete with clients for end users.

All beta programs are in the public domain and anyone can link to them. However, our clients tell us that one of the most valuable aspects of the programs is the data collected on their users via their customized site. Evolution is only able to offer customer data to those organizations who license programs.

No - Evolution’s programs and pricing can be scaled up or down to suit any scope and budget. We work with all types and sizes of organizations from local NPOs to global Fortune 100 companies, and everything in between.

Programs are currently available in English (US, Canadian and UK), French, Spanish, Japanese and Swedish. Evolution’s programs are built to be adapted for multiple languages and cultures. If you are interested in another language not currently available, please contact us.

Evolution’s dedicated implementation team employs a well-developed methodology to ensure our client programs are up and running quickly and efficiently, at a fraction of the time and cost it would take to develop them in-house. Requirements gathering typically takes one to four weeks, while the actual build can range from one day to several months depending on scope. All clients are assigned a Project Manager who guides the process and supplies detailed project plans.

Yes. In addition to licensing programs, Evolution also offers a range of consulting services. We can custom build IT programs and our experienced team will see the project through from the critical initial requirements gathering phase; to build, testing, documentation and launch. In addition, our team are available for custom consulting projects such as research and evaluation protocol review and recommendations and custom project implementation.

Yes. Our Senior Team and Clinical Advisors are available for presentations, conferences, workshops and speaking engagements. Our experienced, interdisciplinary team has spoken on an array of topics ranging from implementation of technology-based behavior change, industry-specific case studies; to outcomes; to privacy. Evolution’s diverse team of trained Health Educators represent a range of backgrounds. All Health Educators have a background in education and/or health; our staff includes Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Naturopathic Doctors and Counselors. While unable to offer any medical advice on individual cases, Health Educators complete an initial training course primarily based on motivational interviewing, facilitation of peer support and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, Health Educators are versed in important international privacy regulations. The team also receives regular ongoing training on condition-specific topics through accredited training programs.
